b'Digital Memory Quilts & Lifekeeper Memory Quilts AFSPs quilt programwhich was founded in 1995 by the late Sandy Martin, whose son died by suicideoffers a way to remember and honor those lost to suicide. Suicide loss survivors create individual memorial quilt squares, which are assembled into traditional quilts and displayed at public AFSP events. Suicide loss survivors can also honor their loved ones by sharing photos and stories that serve as squares in AFSPs Digital Memory Quilt.Long-Term Survivors of Suicide Loss Summit The Long-Term Survivors of Suicide Loss Summit is the only conference of its kind, best suited for long-term suicide loss survivors who have found healthy ways to integrate the experience of losing a loved one to suicide into their lives.Through workshops, expert-led discussions and social activities, suicide loss survivors learn how to increase their support, connect with other long-termsuicide loss survivors, and find ways to further understand grief as an evolving part of their lifes journey. The next Summit will be held in July 2026.Suicide Bereavement Support Group Facilitator Training AFSP offers trainings to prepare support group facilitators to establishand/or support groups for adult or children/teen suicide loss survivors.The training program incorporates lecture, discussion, and role-play.
